SEA URCHIN

DESCRIPTION

This striking sea urchin sculpture was inspired by the marvellous marine life of the Mediterranean Sea waters of Italy’s spectacular coast. Sculpted by Vincenzo from life referring to a collection of sea urchin skeletons brought home from a trip to the Aeolian islands. Scaled up in clay and then cast in bronze at the Florentine foundry using the traditional lost wax method. The beautiful patina reflects the colourings of the sea urchin. It provides a refined focal point to any interiors, and can also be used as a wall lamp, for a unique and exquisite decorative feature.
